About Me
My name is Mabe and I am a 23 years. I’m currently working as TA in a SEND school. I work everyday with children with autism and other neurodivergent conditions. Before that I used to work with adults with learning disabilities as a support worker. I have also done a lot of volunteering with children, including being a monitor at the Red Cross in Madrid for almost 3 years. I have experience with all ages and I can speak two languages, which means that if you want I can try to introduce your child to Spanish. I can also assure you that your children will be treated with a lot of love and respect. Next year I’ll be studying occupational therapy, as you can see I’m really passionate about what I’m doing.
I can help after school hours which are from 1600 onwards and from 1700 ( only on Tuesdays). And I’m free at the weekends.

My Experience
I have a lot of experience with children from all ages! Apart from having two little sisters whom I have raised since they were babies, also from the age of 16 to 19 I was volunteering with the Spanish Red Cross with children. They were children who, unfortunately, were at risk of social exclusion, and we volunteers did playful and dynamic activities with them to make their lives a little happier! After that I moved to England to work as an au pair with a wonderful family in Newbury. I was with them for a year. The children were 6 and 8 years old and the truth was that it was one of the best experiences of my life. I also did some babysitting in Spain before I moved, with a 3 year old girl and an 8 month old baby, and here, I’m Cambridge, with two boys of 8 and 10 years old and with a toodler of 1year and 6months. I’m currently working in a SEND school with autistic children.

First aid training (provided by my previous jobs in healthcare)
PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) trained (provided by my current job)
My Availability
I work everyday until 1600 except Tuesdays when I finish at 1700 due to training reasons. I get to town around 16:45 (Mon/Wed-Fri) and around 17:25 (Tuesdays). I’m free at the weekends.
