About Me

My name is Tilly, and I have over seven years of professional nannying experience caring for children ranging from newborns to 13 years old, with the majority of my experience focused on newborns to four-year-olds. Alongside my professional experience, I grew up helping care for my younger siblings and family members, which is where my passion for childcare first began. Supporting children’s growth and development has always come naturally to me, and it is something I genuinely love and take great pride in.

I am a warm, nurturing, and highly organised nanny who believes in creating a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for children to thrive in. I enjoy planning a healthy balance of indoor and outdoor activities, as I strongly believe both are equally important for children’s development, confidence, and socialisation. I love arts and crafts, messy play, sensory activities, baking, and creative learning, as well as spending time outdoors exploring parks, woods, and nature. I also love animals, especially dogs, and am very comfortable working in homes with pets.

I have experience supporting home learning and homeschooling, including throughout the Covid-19 lockdown period, where I planned and delivered educational activities and structured learning for children of various ages. I am confident in creating engaging routines, lesson plans, and development-focused activities guided by the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage), ensuring children are supported academically, socially, and emotionally in an age-appropriate way.

I also have over four years of experience supporting children with SEND, including children with ADHD, ADD, and autism spectrum conditions. I understand the importance of patience, routine, communication, and adapting activities to meet each child’s individual needs. I am experienced in implementing structured day-to-day routines, sensory play, emotional regulation support, and encouraging positive social interaction and independence in a calm and supportive manner.

My qualifications include:

* Level 2 Diploma in Child Psychology
* NCFE CACHE Level 2 Award in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People
* NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
* Paediatric First Aid Certificate
* Level 2 Food Preparation & Food Safety Certificate
* Level 2 Safeguarding Certificate
* Full up-to-date enhanced DBS check

I am also highly confident in supporting family life beyond childcare. In previous roles, I have worked as both a housekeeper and Family PA, with over three years of experience in household management and family support. My responsibilities have included diary and schedule management, organising appointments and activities, school and nursery administration, liaising with schools and external professionals, meal planning and preparation, household organisation, grocery shopping, running errands, managing laundry and wardrobe organisation, maintaining tidy and organised living spaces, and supporting parents with the smooth day-to-day running of the household. I pride myself on being proactive, dependable, and able to use my initiative to make family life easier and more organised.

I genuinely enjoy maintaining a clean, calm, and organised home environment, as I believe it contributes positively to both children’s wellbeing and the overall atmosphere of the home. I am always happy to assist with household duties, including laundry, tidying, meal preparation, and general housekeeping alongside childcare responsibilities.

I am also very passionate about cooking and baking, with a strong knowledge of healthy, family-friendly meals and meal preparation. I have experience with baby weaning and enjoy creating nutritious meals that children and parents alike can enjoy.

Most importantly, I am a caring, trustworthy, and attentive person who values building strong relationships with both children and parents. I understand the importance of providing a safe, loving, and reliable environment where children feel secure, happy, and encouraged to flourish.

I am also a mother myself to my 10-month-old daughter, Ottilie, whom I have been enjoying maternity leave with over the past year. As I return to work, I am looking for roles where I may occasionally be able to bring her with me when suitable. I believe this can create a lovely social environment for children, encouraging companionship, shared learning, and development through interaction.
