About Me
We have a son who is in Year 3 at Christ Church Chorleywood school, he has Down Syndrome and currently has limited speech and communicates with a combination of speech and makaton signing, his receptive language is good and he’s good at making his needs understood. He is very sociable, loves all sports, games and has a great sense of humour!
My Requirements
With the summer holidays approaching our priority is care over the summer, from mid-July through August (we have two weeks holiday over this time). Ideally we’re looking for Monday-Friday and 9-5, but some flexibility on number of days and hours.
Longer term we are looking for after school care, including pick up, until around 5.30pm, number of days negotiable. Ideally school holidays as well.
We’re open to someone who is only available over the summer and not able to help with our longer term requirements.
Whilst it would be great to have previous experience with special needs it's not critical, patience and a caring nature are more important.
