About Me
I'm 50 years old with a grown up son, and have plenty of childcare experience. I'm also degree educated (English literature) and have worked with children with complex needs. I'm extremely reliable and able to connect with children on their level, without compromising on boundaries. It's great to have fun, educate and encourage children through creating a safe and consistent environment for them to flourish in. I love being creative, the outdoors, animals, the arts and reading, and like to structure time with children to incorporate as much learning play as possible. I'm also very willing to get stuck in to household tasks, and am a driver with a licence for over 30 years.
My Experience
I have been a single parent for all of my own sons life, and have had experience of nannying in Paris for a French family who wished to improve their childrens' English, as well as various families in the UK. I've also worked with young people and children within the care system, and as a contact centre support assistant for Shropshire Council, advising parents on parenting and liasing with social workers about child and parent contact sessions. I currently look after a baby of 14 months old for a family on Tuesdays.
