My Summary

My Experience

I studied child development during school which I did a study on my cousin for a whole two years of his life where id babysit him and take him places. I also gained qualifications including two As in English literature and language and a pass in maths. When leaving school I started a apprenticeship in a local nursery where I stayed til lockdown in the UK as the nursery closed and didn’t reopen. During this time I got a job as a local home carer for the elderly in my community which I loved as I was able to bring joy to their day and see them during tough times when their family couldn’t, I gained various qualifications during my roles in the nursery and home carer listed below.
I have qualifications in a wide range of topics such as :
-food hygiene
-paediatric first aid and normal first aid

I also have a qualification in : NCFE CACHE LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN UNDERSTANDING THE SAFE HANDLING OF MEDICATION IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

As listed above I have a lot of experience working and being around children, from a young age I babysat my younger cousins and spent two years in particular with one of them doing studies on his development. I then went onto working in a nursery for just under 4 years til lockdown working with children ages newborn to 11 ,I also used to babysit on weekends in my local community. Previously I aupaired for two little boys 2 and 4 in London which I love and have lots of fun watching them grow up and be apart of their life, I’m looking forward to having further experience as a nanny.

Previously in my nanny role I work 30-40 hours per week - as well as two nights babysitting. I help with household tasks like light cleaning ,dishwasher and laundry however I love to help out the extra mile if they house is messy due to rushing about I have no problem tidying it up. I have done overnight babysitting also and love to spend time outdoors with children. I pride my self on amazing time keeping and will never be late - I will always push my self to go the extra mile in all aspects of my job role.

I decided to move back up north and got a job as a babysit for a lovely family which have 3 children (5,7,10) currently I do household Jobs in the early afternoons like Laundry ,cleaning bathrooms ,bedrooms ,kitchen and living rooms
(vacuuming etc)

Once I pick the children up I then go back to the home make their tea and help with homework and then we tend to do activities together on the nights I work late I bath the children get them ready for bed or put them to bed depending the time of their parents returning home! I love this position as it allows me to gain more experience in different age groups.

I absolutely love this position however I am looking to do more hours and find a full time position.

I am a well mannered person who will always go the extra mile to help you out and work extra hours if needed … I’m always on time and hate being late!
