My Experience
With nearly twenty years in education—including fourteen in senior leadership and the last six as Headmaster of a leading East of England prep school—I bring deep expertise in the 11+ examination system and in securing entry to some of the UK’s most prestigious independent schools. In 2019, I was honoured to be awarded Fellowship of the Chartered College of Teaching (FCCT) in recognition of my contribution to the profession.
My Qualifications
I hold an M.Ed. (Distinction) in Educational Leadership and Management and a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Marketing. I am a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching (FCCT) and hold a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status.
Dedicated to the highest professional and safeguarding standards, I am Safeguarding Level 3 trained and hold a current Enhanced DBS, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for every student.

That’s why I offer support packages rather than just one-off lessons. A single session (or even two or three) is rarely enough to build the rapport and depth of understanding that leads to lasting progress. Packages allow us to create a bespoke learning plan, ensuring key concepts are taught, revisited, and embedded for the long term. They also allow me to pass on significant savings compared with my standard hourly rate.
