My name is Shayma, I am
a qualified Languages teacher based in Winchester. I am a friendly, outgoing 23 year old girl. I have an extensive history working with children whether as a teacher or nanny, professionally or personally. I have completed my master’s degree in Children’s Literature, Media, and Culture, studying in three different countries: Scotland, Denmark, and Spain. I have undergone extensive training in interacting with children with special needs and have worked as a teacher and carer in a special needs facility, supporting children with various disabilities, including Autism, ADHD, Hearing Impairment, and Down Syndrome.
I earned my BA in English Literature, but my passion for children's books and media led me to pursue a master’s in a children-oriented field. I also enjoy working as a nanny because I love working with kids. I have always been a kids person, often finding myself gravitating towards the kids' table at parties because to me, they are always an extension of the sunshine, constantly finding ways to brighten your day.
My strategy in working with kids blends enjoyment and productivity, seriousness and fun. I am extremely flexible and easily adaptable to different situations. I have also worked as a nanny in the countries I have studied in, gaining international experience as well as UK experience.
