I’m 24 years old, cover staff in a Cardiff nursery, and a freelance violinist. I’ve had two nursery jobs in the past 2 years, working with ages 0-11 in one and 0-5 in my current setting. I love my job and it’s been wonderful to get to know the children so well!

I have had two babysitting jobs through this website - one for a girl from age 5 - present (she’s 8), the other was occasional babysitting for a family of children ages 3 and 18 months. The 8 year old’s family has recommended me as a babysitter to friends and I have looked after children from 4 other families through this contact. The children I used to occasionally babysit are now my students - I teach them violin (now ages 5 and 3!)

I can be flexible on activities I do with your child(ren) to fit in with your family’s needs. Examples of activities I’ve done with children I babysit include: play, crafts (painting, clay, hama beads, colouring etc), trips to the library, cinema, cafes, geocaching (basically an outdoor treasure hunt, she loved it and we did it again!), music.

In May 2024 I completed a QNUK Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF).

I also had experience helping with children through my teenage years, through work experience and voluntary days at a nursery, helping at my music centre and dance school and also supervising children as their parents had coffee a couple of times a month.

Prior to working in the nursery, I worked in an opticians. One of my favourite parts of this role was meeting the children and families who came in for eye tests. In this role, I prescreened patients and helped them choose glasses. For the children, my main priority was to make the experience as fun as possible so that they'd be excited for their next opticians visit!
