About Me
I am an early retired primary school teaching assistant with a now grown up son, looking to work with children of all ages. From simple babysitting, overnight stays, chores, school runs to helping with homework. I am versatile and apply the highest care and standards to whatever job I do. I am English but speak fluent Spanish. I have years of experience as a home-schooling Mum, carer, teaching assistant..I'm reliable and organised and above all, have common sense, kindness and love a bit of fun! Our chidren are precious to us and I am happy to meet up with parents prior to working, for reassurance and peace of mind.
My Experience
City and Guilds diploma in supporting teaching and learning. I worked as a volunteer at 2 primary schools before qualifying in 2014. Prior to this, I ran a recreational workshop in a home for people with learning difficulties where I helped them develop independant social and creative skills. I home schooled my son who is now in college and hoping to progress to university afterwards. Plenty of hands-on, current childcare experience with nieces and nephews ranging from 5 to 25 years old - from caring for the youngest, to tutoring / mentoring the oldest! I can teach English language, Literature and Spanish to children who want help with homework or wish to learn extra curricularly.
My Qualifications
A Level English Language. City and Guilds in supporting teaching and learning. I have a basic DBS certificate. I can provide evidence of DBS and diploma if requested.
My Availability
Mornings or afternoons during any day including weekends. Evening babysitting as and when needed.
