About Me
Hello! My name is Karley and I am a mother of two daughters. I have lived in Shrewsbury for the last 16 years. I have recently changed careers, I was previously a registered nursing associate at RSH and I am now a primary school teacher. I am enhanced DBS checked, CPR trained, First Aid trained, Safeguarding training up to date, and I have a full drivers license.
My Experience
My background is in Nursing, I was previously a registered Nursing Associate, having worked in the NHS for the last 16 years. I have worked on adults wards as a hca, and I also have experience working at PRH neonatal unit, helping to care for premature babies within the nursery. In 2021 I took the plunge and finally had the confidence to pursue my dream of becoming a primary school teacher! I was employed as Teaching Assistant at a local primary school, working 1:1 with a SEN pupil. Whilst working as a TA I also completed a BA Hons in Education degree. I have recently completed a PGCE in primary education and I am currently working as an EYFS class teacher.
I am so glad I finally took the plunge working alongside children is hugely rewarding, and I love my new role so much.
