About Me
Hello,
I live in Broadstairs near the beach with my husband and children. I offer home from home childminding so the children feel comfortable and confident in their surroundings. I am a qualified healthcare professional and have plenty experience working with babies/children. My two adult children (who are registered) assist me in childminding to ensure that the children that come here have time to enjoy their surroundings and can join in the different activities at their level (we are all DBS checked). I have lots of experience with children and happy to adapt and find interesting ways to help your child learn in a fun way. I offer lots of different activities and outings such as the beach, park, library and children's play areas. I live in a non-smoking, clean, child friendly bungalow with an enclosed private garden. Happy to adapt to your childcare needs where possible and I can do either: all year, term time only, before and after school or holidays only. Schools: Palm Bay, Callis Grange and St George’s Primary school.
My Experience
I enjoy working with children and as an experienced healthcare professional have worked with many families and newborns. I offer a family friendly environment where your child can relax, be happy and learn through play which will support them in developing their early year learning goals. I have lots of indoor/outdoor resources such as books, games, arts and crafts and also like to do activities outside the home such as visiting the local library, play centres, the beach and park which are close to where I live so the children can learn about the environment around them.

Nikkie, Harry and Laura are just fantastic and provide a really lovely, supportive environment with the perfect balance between play and learning. My son was there weekly from nine months to 3 years, but he often attended much more when Nikkie had more availability. He'd bring home an array of fab crafts which he'd made (including really thoughtful greetings cards ahead of Mother's Day etc). He was always proud of the different things he'd learnt and even though he's now at full-time pre-school he still constantly asks, "can we see Harry, Nikkie and Laura soon"? He was really well fed, loved the other children who were various ages and would tell us all about the visits to the beach, park or soft play they did daily. Nikkie was also really helpful in supporting us as first-time parents. I honestly can't recommend this setting enough - I've discovered how rare it is to have three registered childminders looking after a small group and I know my son really benefitted from this much support.

Nicola and her family are brilliant, my daughter was in her care for almost 2 years. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her Tuesday’s at Nikki’s, she was always so excited to see her friends and talked non stop about Laura. It was lovely to hear what my daughter had been doing in the day on the many adventures they went on, including the park and library. Nikki is very thorough and great at communicating. The setting is warm, welcoming and safe. My daughter had the best time. We thank you so so much highly recommend.

Nicole took fantastic care of my 3-year-old son. She's amazing. Her place is super safe and cozy, and she even takes the kids out to fun places like parks and libraries. Lots of cool activities too! I'd absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a great childminder.
