About Me

I am a professional Mandarin teacher from mainland China with over 20 years of teaching experience across China, Russia and the UK. I specialise in helping students build confidence, develop strong communication skills, and achieve excellent results in Mandarin learning and their examinations.
I have a deep understanding of different learning styles and know how to adapt my lessons to help each student make real and measurable progress.
I am also a GCSE Mandarin Speaking Examiner in the UK, giving me first-hand insight into the examination process and what examiners are looking for. My GCSE Mandarin exam preparation is highly effective, with a strong focus on improving both speaking and writing, building exam confidence, and helping students achieve their target grades.
I am currently teaching A-Level Chinese, supporting students with advanced language skills, exam techniques and effective communication.

In addition to Mandarin, I also specialise in teaching Mathematics from primary level through to GCSE. I have helped many students improve their mathematical understanding, confidence and exam performance. My teaching approach is unique, engaging and highly personalised, focusing on helping students understand the logic behind mathematical concepts rather than simply memorising formulas. I adapt my explanations and techniques to suit each student's individual needs, making even challenging topics easier to understand.
