Amazing childminder!

We will always be incredibly grateful to have had Sam care for our daughter for almost five years. From the very start, it was clear how deeply she cares about the children she looks after. She created such a calm, loving and secure environment where our daughter truly thrived and felt completely at home, from day one.

The creativity and joy she brought to each day was amazing. Our daughter had the best time doing arts and crafts and imaginative play, and it was so special to see how proud and excited she was to show us what she’d made, or talk about her day. Sam makes it all a learning experience unlike a lot of other providers.

As parents, we felt so supported. Communication was excellent, and we were always kept fully up to date, which gave us huge reassurance. Sam was also incredibly flexible and it’s part of the reason that we stayed with her for such a long time. She was also absolutely brilliant with our daughter’s allergies, always attentive, careful and thoughtful. Sam consistently was able to raise challenges (even before we noticed them!) and that really helped us feel that our daughter was in the safest possible hands.

What really sets Sam apart though is the perfect balance she has between being warm and caring while also setting clear, gentle boundaries. This has set our daughter up beautifully for nursery and eventually school, giving her confidence, independence and a love of learning.

We truly couldn’t recommend her highly enough and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to send any future children to her. She has had such a positive and lasting impact on our family, and we will always be thankful for everything she’s done for both our daughter and ourselves 🩷

The BEST childminder!

Where do I begin?! My daughter was with Sam from 12 months old and absolutely THRIVED in her care. Sam is the most nurturing, enthusiastic and caring person - I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better person to look after my daughter.
Sam makes such an effort with the children and really understands them. She is super hands on, and is fantastic at making every day fun and engaging - my daughter was always going on days out (honestly, they were always exploring somewhere!) or taking part in activities that were the perfect mix of fun and education. She learnt so much from Sam - from putting on her coat herself from an early age to more recently writing her name, she progressed SO well and I have to credit Sam with all of it!
Sam is also very good at reassuring anxious first time mums like me - there’s no judgement, just great advice and she listens to what you need too (heaps of pictures from their days together were always so appreciated).
My daughter still talks about Sam now and really misses her. And I miss her too - she became a friend and I loved our catch ups at pick up / drop off!
If you manage to get Sam as your childminder you are extremely lucky - my parents, my in laws and my local friends have all said the same thing. Everyone knows just how brilliant she is.

I miss Florence too and talk about her all the time here with her bestie! She’s been an absolute joy to have and I’m so happy that I was able to reassure you in those early days whilst she was settling in and you were both finding your feet.
Florence has truly blossomed in to such a kind, funny & thoughtful little girl. Such a bright and clever little munchkin too with always so much to say!
It’s been an absolute pleasure watching her grow and thrive and seeing her little personality develop along with her confidence.
I’m so proud of her and thrilled that she’s enjoying her time at nursery and making more friends. They’re extremely lucky to have her🥰 Thank you again for being such a wonderful family, it’s been a fabulous journey and have loved the friendship that’s grown. Simply the Best

We went to see Sam after deciding that a nursery environment was not right for our sensitive little one year old. I wanted her to be in a home from home environment, with the love and attention that she needed when I went back to work. Within 5 minutes of entering Sam’s home, my husband and I were asking where do we sign! Sam is the most kind and warm person you will meet. Her home is perfectly set up for learning and fun, and Izzy regularly comes home with drawings, baking goodies and other craft projects that she has done with Sam during the day. We are so lucky that we found a childminder that is so active, Sam is always taking them on adventures to local parks, adventure parks like Hobbledown, the local playgroup to sing, dance and play and regularly sees other childminders which means Izzy has the benefit of a small environment, but with the opportunity to play regularly with more children. She is always so excited to go to Sam’s and smiling when we pick her up, we can’t ask for more than that. You’ve hit the jackpot if you get a space with Sam, she’s simply the best ⭐️

She's such a happy little munchkin and full of sooo much fun, often having me in stitches with her little personality!!! She really is an absolute pleasure to have and I've thoroughly enjoyed watching her grow and learn new skills along the way. I will really miss her when she begins a new chapter at nursery, but I know she'll have the best time and has the confidence to take on new challenges, especially having made a bestie here, who will be right by her side!

THE BEST!!

We think ourselves extremely lucky to have found Sam almost 7 years ago. She has looked after both of our children from babies up until recently when they have both flown her nest to primary school.
Sam is simply amazing, our little ones adore her (as do we) and they developed extremely well, both mentally and emotionally in her care. Sam manages to find enough love for every little one she has and works with each child’s individual needs.
Our children had the best experience with Sam and a great start to life in her care!

I literally don't know where to start with Sam! I first found her for my second child as i was looking for a childminder near my first's nursery for easy pick ups and drop offs and what an absolute gem of a find she was! Since those early days she has not only cared for my second but also third child and first one when needed too. She is an absolutely incredible childminder and the kids have all flourished from being with her. She does lots of activities with them and trips out and they absolutely love the animals and garden. Sam showers them with love and attention and guidance and the kids go in and as well as leave with huge smiles on their faces. I cannot recommend Sam highly enough (she almost makes me want to have another.......but not quite!!) Thank you for everything over the years Sam xx

Great childminder

Sam has a fantastic manner, and a genuine enthusiasm for looking after young children. I am amazed by her ability to provide each child with one to one attention, whilst also managing to ensure everything runs to time and everyone is kept organised. She makes it all seem so effortless, which we all know it isn't!

Charlie has been an absolute poppet to care for and he has made some lovely friendships with the other children in my setting who he'll move up to big school with :)

Absolutely Amazing

Sam is an absolutely wonderful childminder and both my boys (aged 5 and 2) have enjoyed every second of their time with her. She is incredibly caring and the daily diary that she writes is one of my favourites reads, and a brilliant way to keep in touch with what your child has been up to while you're away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sam and just hope that i can find someone like her when we move to our new home.
