Hello Parents,
My name is Giulia, and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder based on Atkins Road, ideally located between Clapham South and Balham.
With five years of experience as a nanny and, most importantly, as a mother myself, I understand how important it is for parents to find childcare that feels safe, nurturing, and trustworthy. My goal is to provide a warm, home-from-home environment where children feel happy, secure, and valued every day.
I offer a caring and stimulating setting where children can learn, explore, and develop through play. I believe every child is unique, and I tailor my care and activities to meet their individual needs, interests, and developmental stages. I am passionate about supporting children to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our days are filled with a variety of engaging experiences designed to support all areas of learning and development. Activities may include:

One of the things that makes my setting special is the strong connection with nature and animals. We have fish, a friendly cat, and rabbits, giving children opportunities to learn about caring for animals, developing empathy, responsibility, and respect for living things.
I also have a secure outdoor space where children can enjoy fresh air and active play every day. Outdoor learning is an important part of my provision, encouraging children to explore, investigate, and develop physically while having fun.
I pride myself on building strong partnerships with parents based on trust, communication, and mutual respect. I believe that working closely together helps ensure every child receives the best possible care and support.
Healthy meals and snacks are provided, and I am happy to accommodate individual dietary requirements. I also offer school and nursery drop-offs and pick-ups where available.
My aim is simple: to provide a happy, safe, loving, and stimulating environment where children can thrive, make friends, develop new skills, and create wonderful memories.

My Availability
5 days a week 8:00- 6:00
Saturday and Sunday 9:00- 5:00
Occasional Babysitting
Full time and Part time places available
Funded hours and tax free childcare accepted

- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour

Giulia has been caring for my child for almost a year, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her more highly. She looks after my 2-year-old and has been incredibly caring, patient, and flexible from the very beginning.
My son settled in with her very quickly, which says a lot about the warm and supportive environment she creates. She has also been wonderful in helping with his physio where she can, which I really appreciate.
Giulia is an amazing childminder and I feel very lucky to have found her.

It’s going to be 1 year since we joined Giulia and super happy we found her. She treats our daughter as her own. Our baby girl was 7 months old when she met Giulia so she literally grew up in there.
Giulia does amazing care of all kids and everyone being treated with same love.
She does accommodate flexible hours, very understanding and just amazing person.
Always feeling safe and not worrying at all leaving our child there.
Definitely recommend.

I will be fair as I don’t like speaking down on a childminder but I will express my issues. I went to this childminder house for a viewing, as I was interested in my son joining her child minding services. Upon arriving I felt I was greeted with a bit of hostility and distance. Not very welcoming. Her daughter was in the room (which was the main room where kids will be) and she was , coughing and quite sick, just baring in mind I have a vulnerable child. She came very near to me coughing as well as close to my baby coughing a lot. I felt she should have not allowed her child near my baby knowing that her child was unwell with a flu. Nonetheless, I felt as if she was a little hostile and not completely inviting. She didn’t ask questions about my child, and just randomly informed me that there was someone else who wanted my son’s spot who is full time, as I only needed part time. I do believe she could have not wasted my time by letting me arrive at her house only to let me know she may not be able to take me on. This could have been communicated over the phone. There could be a colour discrimination going on here. But nonetheless, I would not recommend, as my spirit did not take to her. And there was an off vibe I got.
I will be fair and not downplay her environment was really nice and beautiful and very neat. And looks like a good environment for a child to go to. But the vibes I got was off, mixed with possible discrimination that I felt from her especially with the odd looks and very offish overall vibes.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I’m sorry that you felt the visit was not a positive experience, but I would like to clarify a few points for accuracy.
The childcare place was initially requested for around 30 hours per week. During the visit it became clear that the requirement was actually part-time. As I explained at the time, I already had another family interested in the full-time space, which is why I could not guarantee availability. This is standard practice when managing limited childcare places.
You also mentioned concerns about illness. During our conversation you explained that your own child had recently been unwell with diarrhoea. During one of our conversations, I also offered to help you and speak to your child's doctors to help him in any way I could.
As this is a family home, my own child also lives here and may occasionally have a mild cough, which is very common among young children. It would obviously not be possible or appropriate to remove my child from her own home.
I take hygiene and safeguarding very seriously and always follow appropriate guidance.
Finally, I want to be very clear that any suggestion of discrimination is completely unfounded. I welcome families from all backgrounds and treat everyone with the same respect.
I am pleased that you acknowledged that the environment was clean, organised and suitable for children. I wish you the best in finding the childcare arrangement that suits your family.
