About Me
I am a medical student at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine looking for babysitting and tutoring jobs. I now have 8 years of experience babysitting all age ranges, and 6 years experience in tutoring students from KS2 to GCSE.
What I love most about tutoring is watching students grow in confidence in areas they used to struggle with. I help with this by creating a safe, encouraging learning environment where mistakes are completely welcome, and we build on them together without feeling discouraged.
Please get in touch if you are interested. I am available most days after 5 pm and I am very flexible with working around your schedule even if it’s variable.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for families in my community for the past 8 years. I have experience with children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens.
I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and playing games. I am also comfortable with basic care tasks such as meals, and bedtime routines.
I’ve volunteered at a children's charity for a year where we helped underprivileged children with their writing and reading skills. Over the course of my time at the charity, I have had the opportunity to work with children of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. My responsibilities included planning and implementing literacy-based activities and programs, one-on-one tutoring, and conducting storytime sessions.
My Qualifications
I have an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences and am currently working towards an M.D at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine.
My Availability
I have university lectures daily with varying end times but a definite finish by 5 pm. I am also free the majority of weekends.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £25.00 per hour
