Not great

Childminder wouldn’t look after my child. I was referred by many friends and really would have loved her to have looked after my child. She set up a meeting had my hopes up as my child is SEN and struggles with people. She told me to wait a weekend to think it over and then got in touch on the Monday with excuses. I asked many times since then and still was told no she was to full. Obviously childminders take new children on all the time. So I have no idea why she was so funny about looking after my child. Made me feel really horrible.

Not great

Lovely setting. However no settling in period offered. If you wish to discuss any concerns with the provider they don’t take responsibility. The children are fed high salt/sodium foods. Although request was made not to. And you supply your own nappies which is fine given they change your child. My child was changed once in an 8 hour period. Was end of day because my child was dry when picked up. Has little choice but to take my child out of the setting.

This really upsets me that I’m actually having to to justify my self to such a false review. Never in 6 years of running my business have I ever had such accusations and verbal abuse from a parent. For anyone reading this review and considering Shells Stars as a place for your child to develop I would like to reassure you all that your children are at the forefront of everything I do, their development is key and their care and needs are my number one priority.
The child and parent came round for 2.5 hours settling session & was offered more, which this parent is obviously choosing to forget when writing this negative review. All food requests were followed when given to me by the parent. All children are given nutritious healthy food and drinks throughout their stay. Children are changed frequently and when required. All communication channels have now been cut so this resource was a final way to try and destroy my excellent reputation as a childminder. Please don’t allow this one negative review to stop you from meeting me and visiting my business if you are in need of an excellent childminder 😊
