My Experience

I am a passionate and dedicated childcare professional with over 15 years of experience working with children and families. Since beginning my career in childcare in 2011, I have developed extensive knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and creating nurturing environments that support children's learning and wellbeing.

Throughout my career, I have worked with children from birth to six years old, gaining valuable experience across a range of early years settings.

My previous roles have included working as an Nursery Practitioner and Afterschool Club Manager, where I was responsible for planning engaging activities, managing staff, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing, and building positive relationships with parents and carers. This role developed my leadership, organisational, and communication skills while reinforcing the importance of providing high-quality care and education.

In addition to my childcare experience, I have also worked as a carer, which enhanced my ability to support individuals with compassion, patience, and understanding. These transferable skills have strengthened my approach to childcare, allowing me to provide nurturing support tailored to each child's individual needs.

I am passionate about working in a nursery environment because I understand the significant impact that high-quality early years experiences have on children's future development. I enjoy supporting children through play-based learning, helping them to develop confidence, independence, social skills, and a love of learning. I am committed to creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.

I work well as part of a team and pride myself on building positive relationships with colleagues, children, and families. I have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and recognise the importance of observation, assessment, and planning to support children's individual learning journeys.

Level 3 diploma for the children and young people.

Bachelor degree in Education studies in primary. (Current 2026)
