Hi, I’m Amelia, a 21-year-old SEND Teaching Assistant with a genuine passion for supporting children of all abilities to feel safe, confident and understood.
I currently work with children aged 5–18 across both mainstream and SEND settings which has given me a strong understanding of different needs, personalities and learning styles. My Experience
I have experience working with children and young people aged 5–18 in both mainstream and SEND school settings through my current role as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This has given me a strong understanding of a wide range of needs, abilities, and behaviours as well as the importance of patience, consistency, and adaptability when supporting children.
My role involves supporting learning, managing behaviour, and helping children feel safe, included and confident in their environment. I regularly work with children who require additional support, allowing me to develop a calm and nurturing approach tailored to each individual.
My Qualifications
Alongside my practical experience, I have completed Online Level 2 training in Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid, ensuring I can respond appropriately to any situation and prioritise children’s safety at all times. I also hold a valid DBS check on the update service and have business insurance on my car enabling me to safely transport children if required.
