Job Title: Deputy Housekeeper

Full time or Part time

The deputy Housekeeper will support the Primary Housekeeper in maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented household. This role ensures that all housekeeping tasks are completed to a high standard, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of the home.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Pirmary Housekeeper in day-to-day cleaning, tidying, and maintenance of all household areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, and laundry.
• Change and launder bed linens and towels as required.
• Assist with organisation of household items, storage areas, and supplies.
• Support in caring for household furnishings, silverware, and delicate materials according to instructions.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report when restocking is needed.
• Occasionally assist with meal preparation, table setting, or light errands as directed.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality and respect for the household’s privacy.
• Work collaboratively with other household staff to ensure smooth operations.

Skills & Attributes
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience required.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Discretion, reliability, and trustworthiness.
• Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude is a requirement in this role.

Qualifications
• No formal qualifications required; relevant housekeeping or hospitality experience desirable.
• Babysitting experience or experience with children would be preferred as we have a 2 year old son and another baby on the way.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to carry out tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
