About Me
I am 56 years old and worked for many years as a registered mental health nurse and psychotherapist. I am looking to change my role to something I have always loved, working with children. I have 2 children of my own now in their 20's. I also love animals. I am very well organised, extremely reliable and have successfully looked after my own home, 2 children, dogs and worked part time while my husband worked long hours.
I love cooking, informal teaching, the outdoors and having fun.
I am a naturally caring person.
My Experience
At the age of 18 I started my nurse training. Following this initial registered nurse training, I worked in the NHS for 32 years undertaking 2 degrees and a post graduate diploma.
More latterly I have ran my own business as an independent Cognitive behaviour therapist.
I have a DBS check for my work but would be happy to renew this if necessary. Likewise, I would be happy to do a children's first aid course.
My experience of children has been as a mum bringing up 2 children close in age, whilst looking after our home and dogs.
I have a driving licence and am an experienced safe driver.
My Qualifications
Registered nurse. B.A (Hons) Nursing, BSc (Hons) Cognitive behaviour Therapy, Post Graduate Diploma Counselling.
My Availability
I am looking to work part time (maximum 3 full days) and can be flexible on days. I am not looking to work permanent weekends but would be happy to help out at these times, where necessary. Sadly, I cannot work split shifts.
