About Me

Hi, I’m Emma from Sutton Coldfield, with 17 years of experience teaching across KS1 and KS2. As Deputy Headteacher, I led whole school initiatives in teaching, learning, and assessment. I’m calm, supportive, and dedicated to prioritising the children I teach, helping them build confidence, thrive, and achieve progress.

My Experience

I have extensive experience teaching children with a variety of needs, ranging from ages 4 to 11, covering everything from phonics to SATs preparation. With experience in teaching SEN pupils, I’m skilled in identifying learning gaps and boosting confidence for those needing extra support. I currently work at a school teaching a year 6 target group in the mornings to ensure they pass their SATs and tutor in the evenings.

I offer:
- Baseline to assess pupils strengths and areas to develop.
- Online or face-to-face tutoring
- Personalised sessions tailored to each pupil’s individual needs and interests
- Gifted & Talented
- SEN pupils
- Primary Maths, English Inc SPAG and Reading and Science.

For home-schooled pupils:
- Support for parents in adapting and developing a curriculum tailored to their child
- Planning and providing resources for parents
- Assessing and establishing baselines to help guide next steps
