Hi familes! ??

My name is Zoi and I am half-Serbian, half-South African, born and bred in West London.

I'm 25 and the oldest of three (my brother is 19 and my sister 15). Because we grew up in a single-parent household, I took on responsibility helping care for my younger siblings from an early age. I have taken them both away on holidays alone every year since my sister was 10 years old.

I have experience volunteering as an assistant teacher in three primary schools, one of which catered towards children with special educational needs. So I am well accustomed to dealing with a wide range of characters under all kinds of circumstances!

I have been working as a Freelance Content Writer since graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2024, where I read English Literature and Comparative Literature, specialising in Shakespeare studies. I love reading, writing, and storytelling in all its forms (I recently co-founded a theatre company for which I write and act in plays).

In an age dominated by digital media, I think it has never been more important to engage children in creative activities which stimulate their imagination and encourage them to connect with the world around them. Puzzles, arts and crafts and exploring nature are amongst my favourite ways to do this. As a literature graduate, reading (especially the likes of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler) is one of my favourite activities to do with children.

I am currently working towards becoming a certified English Foreign Language teacher with the TEFL Academy. I speak intermediate German?? and Serbian??. In 2019, I lived with a host family in Düsseldorf, Germany, where I provided English tutoring on a regular basis to help their youngest member prepare for her school exams.

I also helped both my siblings prepare for their 11+ exams and interviews. Having grown up in England and attended Cheltenham Ladies' College, I am very familiar with the British education system and will be more than willing to help children with their homework.

Hailing from a family of chefs and Balkans (practically the same thing), I fancy myself an excellent cook and am more than happy to cook meals for children and help with light chores around the house (e.g. washing up, doing laundry, buying groceries, clearing toys away etc.)

I'm confident using public transport and taking Ubers with children if needed.

I love love love animals and am available for dog walking and pet sittings; I come from a family with several dogs and cats and have helped our little Maltese Sneška with both her litters! ? I also have experience working as a dog walker and volunteering at an animal shelter.
