My Experience

Hello, my name is Nancy. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with experience teaching in Early Years, including working as a Reception teacher. I have experience teaching across the primary age range and am familiar with phonics, early reading, the EYFS framework and the National Curriculum.

I have over 15 years of childcare and educational experience, beginning with studying childcare at college before progressing to university, where I graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Education. Throughout my career, I have gained experience working in a variety of educational settings, including PRUs, nurseries, primary schools, after-school clubs and SEN schools.

I am confident in supporting children with additional needs and have experience working alongside SENCOs to ensure children are supported appropriately. Safeguarding and the wellbeing of children are extremely important to me. I also hold a current First Aid certificate and have an Enhanced DBS check.

As a mum to two boys myself, I understand how important it is for parents to feel that their children are safe, comfortable and well cared for. My home is fully equipped with children’s safety in mind, including stair gates, window locks, magnetic door locks to prevent little fingers becoming trapped, childproof cupboard locks and additional safety measures where needed.

I also have a dedicated childcare cabin in my garden, designed to meet the needs of children aged 0–10 years. The cabin is equipped with a range of age-appropriate toys, games and learning resources, providing children with a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where they can play, learn and have fun.

My rate is £18 per hour, and I am happy to offer discounts for full-day bookings and bookings made in blocks.
