Recent -
I am available for teaching/tutoring and can offer my services at school, within your home or remotely.
I started training to become a primary school teacher but have had to put my masters degree on hold due to family circumstances.
I have extensive SEN knowledge and experience as I used to work as a Higher Learning Need Teaching Assistant and have supported many pupils with SEND. Therefore, I can easily adapt my teaching practice using various techniques and resources. I can also manage behaviour that can sometimes be challenging in order to positively enhance every child's learning experience.
Previously (I used to be a childminder) -
I have just completed a level 3 childcare course through The Childcare Company and I'm an advanced qualified first aider (FREC3). I have also completed a course in safeguarding children and food hygiene as well as forest school which will be my speciality. I have just been approved by Ofsted as a childminder and I am booking spaces NOW!!!
I've got a strong interest in child development with a degree in Psychology having specialised in education and I'm passionate about outdoor learning. I have a highly energetic 2 year old daughter and we love having fun outdoors, spending lots of time in the forest or on the beach. We also love various sports and anything active, singing and dancing but appreciate the downtime so enjoy arts and crafts but also snuggling up to read a book too.
I'm really excited about getting to know your little one/s whilst giving your family the support that it needs.
My Experience
I have previously worked as a teacher, HLN Teaching Assistant and offered additional support services in school, particularly for pupils with SEND.
I also work for StrHive which offers holiday club and out of school activities such as forest/beach school, crafts and cooking.
