Hello, my name is Olivia and I am 25 years old. I am a bubbly, kind, friendly and fun person who loves being around children. I am approachable, honest, reliable and can build a connection with any child through my humour. I have just returned to Scotland after spending 3 months au-airing in Spain for a family with little 3 girls aged 8 to 9. I have a Bachelors in Art and am working towards my SVQ qualification in Childcare. I would love to help a local family that needs support with their children and build a fun and loving relationship with them.
My Experience
I worked as a Practitioner in a nursery with children aged 3 to 5 for three years and loved every minute. I have experience with caring for children's basic needs, changing nappies, preparing food, assisting at meal times, supporting children's emotional wellbeing, supporting learning development of literacy and numeracy skills and going on outings to the woods and park. I have two little nephews who I am very close with and spend a lot of time playing with and caring for them. I love art, crafts, sports, being outside within nature, play dough and extending children's learning through play. While au-airing in Spain my duties included helping the children get ready for school, preparing snacks, doing school drop-off and pick-up, playing with them, supporting and teaching them English, and helping get ready for bed. This was a great experience, I loved learning about another culture and language as well as being an auntie figure to the girls and creating memories together.
My Qualifications
Qualification level A and B in Higher Art, English, History, Hospitality and Modern Studies.
Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Art Practice
I will complete my Qualification in SVQ Level 3 in Childcare this year.
My Availability
I am available for babysitting during the evenings and weekends.

Olivia looked after our toddler and 10-week-old baby for 5 hours at the hotel we were staying at while we attended an event in Aberdeen. We were delighted we chose her and it made a much-needed night out smooth and enjoyable. The quality of her communication was excellent - she offered a video call in advance so that we and our toddler could meet her, and she kept us updated regularly on what's app during the evening. Our toddler got on really well with her and she brought some fun things for him to do to supplement the things we had brought with us to the hotel. She conveys confidence and capability and we all found her warm and reassuring. I would definitely engage her again if we visit Aberdeen again in the future.
