About Me
Hello! My name is Suzie and I run Messy Spiderlings. As the name suggests I love to engage children in messy play and engage them in nature and with animals. Whether this be on a bug hunt in the back garden, interacting with our two resident Chihuahuas or a trip to our local forest.
I aim to work with children to create a fun and playful atmosphere where children are encouraged to be independent and take managed risks. I encourage children to express and understand there emotions; through co-regulation and work using principles based on neuroscientific research. I aim to give children freedom to express themselves while maintaining clear boundaries to keep them safe.
My Experience
I worked permanently 30 hours a week in a two times Outstanding rated nursery in Alton Hampshire for 2 Years and 3 Months. My time was split between the baby room 1 year 3 months and pre-school 1 year.
When I was not working for this nursery I was temping in a variety of different nurseries within an hours radius of Whitehill Bordon to help develop my breadth of experience. I have done this for 1 Year 10 Months.
I am an Independent Visitor to an 8 year old girl who is in the care system. Therefore I take her out on monthly trips into the local community. During the second year of my foundation degree I spent one day a week and block weeks in a primary school.
Previously I spent just under six years working in the luxury hotel industry where I undertook roles as a receptionist, reception supervisor, glamping duty manager, senior reservations agent and membership coordinator to the private members golf club located in the hotel grounds

Awarded a Distinction in my Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies
Awarded a 1st Class Honours Degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management
Paediatric and First Aid at Work Certificate
Level 2 Understanding Autism Online Course

- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
