About Me
I’m looking for childcare work in the Edinburgh area, usually on a regular/semi regular/ad hoc basis. I am looking to take on both babysitting and nannying work. I will also take work weekdays and weekends as well as during the day and at night.
I’m 23 years old and a graduate from the University of Edinburgh. I was very active in the student community and was a part of several university societies. I also worked multiple jobs part time alongside my studies.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my cat, going to the theatre and swimming. I also volunteer with Edinburgh Food Project.
My Experience
I have now been babysitting for a decade! I started off with family friends in my home town and look after at least 6 different families over the course of 8 years.
Since starting work in Edinburgh in May 2023 I have worked with over 20 different families, with kids who have a variety of needs, including those who are neurodivergent, have learning disabilities and other additional needs. The ages ranged from 8 months-12 year olds.
I understand that all families are different and I think this is what makes them special! I am happy to work with (and are doing so currently) LGBTQ+ families, single parents, care experienced families, blended families and more!
My Qualifications
I don’t have any formal childcare qualifications, I rely on my experience.
I have a basic DBS check (renewed in June 2025) and several references available along with those on my profile. I also have a Level 2 PVG check (September 2025).
I also have a Baby & Child First Aid Training Certificate (Completed in July 2025) and I’m able to respond calmly and effectively should anything happen.
My Availability
I’m not taking on any school pick up/drop off work at this time. I’m also not a full time nanny.
My availability will vary depending on other personal commitments and I’m currently doing this work to supplement my income so I may not be as flexible during the day and won’t be able to take on long term commitments.
I’m happy to meet you and your family for 1 hour for free, after that normal fees apply.
If I have to drive to your home I have a 2hr minimum to account for travel time. If I have to travel 10 miles or more to your house I aka that my petrol is covered at 45p a mile.

We were so nervous about using a babysitter in a new country however Grace was such a professional and took great care of our 9 month old daughter.
To add to the stresses on our end, our daughter was unwell however Grace took it all in her stride and kept us updated all night.
So glad we chose Grace and we would recommend to everyone!

Grace sitted our 3yo and 8mo kids during a private event. She was very reliable from the first second of interaction. We are very thankful that Grace supported us. She is extraordinarily thoughtful and considerate. When we were a bit overwhelmed, Grace thought about a lot of things that we didn’t even had in mind. She had a solution for everything - child related or not - and was of great help. We would recommend Grace to everyone!

We had the best experience with Grace who looked after our 11 month old little girl. Grace was wonderful with communication (important for us as it was the first time leaving her with anyone), so accommodating, a big hit with Sienna and just a lovely person. I would use her again in a heartbeat. Thank you Grace!
