My Experience

I have 8 years’ experience working in education across both the independent and state sectors, teaching children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and supporting pupils with a wide range of abilities, needs and learning styles.

Alongside my teaching career, I have been offering private tutoring for the past 5 years, working with children on a one-to-one basis to build confidence, strengthen understanding and make meaningful academic progress.

During my time at a successful independent school, I progressed into senior leadership roles as Assistant Head – Pastoral and Head of English. As Head of English, I led the English curriculum across the school, supporting teachers with planning and teaching, monitoring pupil progress and developing approaches to ensure children received engaging and effective English provision. My role as Assistant Head – Pastoral also gave me extensive experience supporting children's confidence, wellbeing and individual needs.

I offer Maths and English tuition from primary age through to Year 9, with experience supporting children to:

* Close gaps in their learning
* Consolidate key skills and understanding
* Prepare for assessments and school transitions
* Develop greater independence
* Extend and challenge their learning

I believe my combination of classroom teaching, senior leadership and five years of private tutoring experience allows me to offer a particularly well-rounded approach. I understand the demands of different school settings and the curriculum, but I also understand that every child learns differently.

My aim is to make sessions engaging, supportive and tailored to the individual child, helping them not only to make academic progress but to become more confident and independent learners.

My Qualifications

I am a fully qualified teacher with a strong academic and professional background in primary education.
My qualifications include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree in Primary Education (Bed University of Hertfordshire)
Enhanced DBS check
Regular professional development and training throughout my teaching career, keeping my knowledge of teaching, learning and the curriculum up to date
I have continued to develop professionally throughout my 8 years in education, including through my previous senior leadership positions as Assistant Head – Pastoral and Head of English.
My qualifications, combined with my extensive classroom experience and 5 years of private tutoring, allow me to provide structured, professional and personalised support for children in both Maths and English.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £50.00 per hour

I charge £50 an hour for 1:1 tutoring sessions, discounts are available for online sessions, group sessions or upfront bundle payments.
