About Me
I am a 28 year old Irish psychology grad and early years educator, who recently moved from the South of France to Newcastle Upon Tyne. I have extensive experience working as a private nanny, a children's educator, a children's creative workshop facilitator and a storyteller for kids. I have studied psychology -with a particular focus on developmental psychologt- and completed a postgrad in Creativity and Change, which is focused on creating change societally through creative and inclusive approaches; this speaks to my ethos entirely. Working with young people is where I excel and where I am most comfortable; I have experience working with children from a variety of backgrounds with a variety of needs and communicative abilities. I am an artist first and foremost, with a particular interest in nature. I enjoy incorporating my creativity into my work and find that children respond well to this creative aspect! I have 20 years of musical experience and have spent the past 2 years learning French, so I feel I have a lot to offer. My Experience
I have most recently spent a year and a half nannying the most wonderful 2 year old in the south of France, alongside working as a children's English teacher, an early years creative facilitator, a music teacher and a community storyteller in local creches and the library where I was living (Arles, France). Before that I spent time nannying children in Ireland ranged from ages 1-13 years old. I have a degree in Psychology and a postgraduate certificate in Creativity and Change. I am passionate about creating environments where children feel understood, welcome and comfortable.
My Qualifications
I have a bachelor of arts in psychology from Trinity College Dublin, with a thesis focused on developmental psychology. I have experience providing creative workshops and working at music summer camps throughout my entire life.
My Availability
I am available part-time, for consistent evening babysitting or for one off situations, but would be happy to discuss any role!
