I offer tuition to pupils P3-7, in Reading,Maths,English and 11+. I have extensive experience working with pupils who have specific learning difficulties. This has included Autism,ADHD,selective mutism etc.

I am currently an Assistant Head teacher. I have nearly 20 years experience teaching and tutoring children from Year 4-16
Qualifications include B.e.d ,Masters in Education and associated football and hockey qualifications. I am also a qualified Personal Trainer.DBS checked certification.

B.ed. Masters in Education. IFA level 1 football coaching. Irish hockey level 1 coaching award.
My Availability
As Below. Afternoons from 430 onwards by arrangement. I offer both face to face and online tuition.

James helped with our daughter only 12 weeks before her 11+ exams, whilst she is a bright child anyways, 11+ exams are different to what is taught in state school curriculum in y5/6. My daughter gained more confidence in her self and James also made her lessons enjoyable and engaging that she always felt 1hr was too short! I will be using James again nearer the time for my other two children and his teaching is exceptional! Just for information, my daughter got a place in every independent school she applied to in newcastle (on bursary and scholar awards) and has chosen to accept RGS newcastle! Thanks James

James is a great tutor and has been a massive help to my son. His engaging teaching style and easy-to-talk-to nature made my son feel comfortable immediately. In a very short space of time, his confidence and maths skills have improved immensely. I highly recommend James, especially for any parents looking for SATs preparation!

James tutored my son in preparation for his entrance exams for both Watsons and Heriots.
Due to James’ support and guidance, he did exceptionally well in both and was offered a place at both. Thank you James!

Highly recommend James. The tutoring he provides for my 9 year old son is second to none. My son thrives of the challenges James sets and his confidence has improved massively. James is reliable and never misses a session and in return my son never wants to miss a session.
