About Me

I'm Sadiya, 29, A senior early years practitioner. I have over 8 years experience with early years children (0-7) yrs old.
Over the years I’ve worked in baby room, toddlers, preschool and have worked in primary schools as well. I’m well experienced and a fully qualified Level 3 senior practitioner. I’ve decided to further extend my learning about children by undergoing a psychology degree and have taken modules on mental health and child psychology to give quality and attentive care to children. I understand the first few years are pivotal in shaping the development of a person. I’ve worked in Montessori nursery settings as well as school nursery. I would describe myself as a naturally caring person and have always gravitated towards job roles that give me the opportunity to have a positive impact in the lives of others. I'm also a good listener. From the age of 8, I used to volunteer to help other children in my primary school with disabilities get to their class and leisure activities. After college, I started to work at nurseries and would also volunteer to read books to the elderly in care homes when had a chance.
It’s been a very rewarding experience making bonds and seeing the children's development flourish over the years. This year, I’d like to experience new caring roles. I make the most of any situation I am in such as seeing the glass as half full rather than half empty and keeping a positive mindset always.
My hobbies and interests are mainly travelling, reading.. recently I've tried hot yoga combined with mediation really enjoyed this.
I'm reliable and also very patient by nature. I like to help but also appreciate and acknowledge the importance of promoting independence as well. No matter what age the child is there is always capacity to learn and develop.
