About Me
I am a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic person who loves working with children and building a positive relationship with families. I live with my husband, step son (10 years old) and my Golden retriever, Kodi in Verwood. I have been a step mum for over 9 years and I have loved watching him grow and develop. I come from a very family orientated background - family is everything to me and I know how special families are to others too!
My Experience
Having worked with children since I left school, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Starting my career at 16 in a nursery, working in both baby room and pre-school. I was key worker to 10 children and built up very positive professional relationships with parents. From that, I went on to be a teaching assistant and ELSA (emotional literacy support assistant), I have a wealth of knowledge within inclusion and special educational needs through my various training I have completed and experiences I have faced. I then decided to do my teacher training and have since been a primary school teacher for over 4 years. I have worked in both key stage 1 and 2 and have enjoyed every minute for various different reasons. I am currently teaching in year 2.

BA Hons in childhood studies

My Availability
Working full time as a teacher, I can only do evenings, weekends or school holidays. I am happy to work over the holidays to support families, however, I may have my step son with me as both of his parents work during the holidays. But this can be rearranged with notice.

Laura is really lovely! Friendly, professional, trustworthy and experienced with children - my 3 year old son loved her immediately and actually told us to go out as he was having so much fun! The dream scenario! Definitely recommend Laura!😊 Xxx
