About Me
Hi there, I am Kat. A bubbly and passionate 18 year old with lots of childcare experience and knowledge. I am a determined, proactive person, who is up for a challenge and will complete any tasks to the highest standard. I will use my own time to develop any skills that need improving. I am effective at communicating with parents and any professionals that may need to be bought in to support the child's development. When working with a family the child is always the centre focus but I also hold a big importance in supporting the family as a unit in any way I can.
My Experience
I have experiences with all ages of children and those with multiple Special Needs, I have also gained experience whilst supporting my parents with their childminding business from 2012-2019; also witnessing and learning the ability to deal with safeguarding issues. My experience as a babysitter and assisting my parents, demonstrates that I have patience, kindness, sensitivity, and the ability to manage the practical needs and safety of babies and children. I have also worked supporting a child on a one to one basis who struggles with their mental health and also had special needs, after school in their own home. Since 2021 I have been working for a charity which supports children with autism (and other conditions that can come alongside this), this has provided me with further understanding, knowledge and training to ensure that I am suitable in supporting children with their individual needs.
My Qualifications
I hold a ' NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)' and have also taken part in other forms of courses such as:

I am also willing to complete any that you may prefer me to have as well as completing any training that I or you feel I would be best suited to have to better support your child.
My Availability
I can be pretty flexible, if there is effective communication with the parents on when I am required. I will also be available if needed at the weekends or in case of an emergency. I cannot drive but am very aware of bus times and can ensure to be punctual.
