My Summary
About Me
Hello! I’m a friendly, patient, and enthusiastic tutor, fluent in both English and French, with a passion for helping children thrive in their learning.
I believe every child has unique strengths, and I aim to nurture these by building confidence, developing key skills, and making learning a positive and enjoyable experience. I provide personalised, engaging lessons tailored to each learner—whether they need support with schoolwork, preparation for exams, or the freedom to explore topics that truly interest them.
I have extensive experience working with children with SEND and SEMH needs, supporting learners who may require a more individualised, nurturing, and flexible approach. I create a calm, supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and able to succeed at their own pace.
I also have a particular interest in supporting home-educated children and can offer flexible, creative sessions for individuals or small groups. My teaching style is adaptable, encouraging, and child-centred, helping each learner feel motivated, confident, and inspired to learn.
My Experience
I have a broad and varied teaching background across different age groups and educational settings:
Further Education (FE) – 2 years teaching Animal Welfare & Management and Biology.
Higher Education (HE) – 3 years teaching Animal Behaviour, Animal Welfare, Study Skills, Dissertation Preparation, and Statistics, as well as working as a Dissertation Tutor.
Primary Education (SEND) – 2 years working in an Alternative Provision, teaching and supporting children with a wide range of additional needs.
Tutoring (Years 5, 6 and GCSE) – Providing tailored Maths and English tuition, with a focus on building subject knowledge, problem-solving skills, and exam readiness, while improving confidence.
My diverse experience means I can adapt my teaching style to suit different learning styles, abilities, and goals — from younger pupils needing a confidence boost, to older students preparing for formal assessments.
My Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Zoology, during which I specialised in animal behaviour
Master of Research in Primate Biology Behaviour and Conservation
