About Me

I'm Emma (_learning_with_emma), a fully qualified primary teacher originally from the North of Scotland but I now live and work in Greater Manchester. I love being outdoors and reading!
I feel strongly that every child should achieve their full potential and understand that each child is an individual so what works for one might not work for another.

My Experience

I am an experienced primary school teacher currently working part time in Lower Key Stage 2. I have taught all ages and stages of primary during my career and have worked with a wide variety of additional needs too. I have also marked SATs papers. Before completing my teaching qualification I worked as a TA in mainstream school, I've also worked at an after school club for children with additional needs and on a 1-1 with children who have ASD, helping them with education and to develop skills for life. I am confident supporting children and adapting my teaching style to suit the individual needs and interests to ensure learning is engaging and appropriate.

My Qualifications

MA (education) with Primary Teaching Qualification from the University of Glasgow.
Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Enhanced DBS checked.

My Availability

I am available for 1-1 in person tutoring or online tutoring. I work part time so have some availability during school time as well as out with, please message to discuss further.
