About Me
My name is Olivia and I am 27 years old with over 8 years of childcare experience. I have a real passion for nurturing children and I pride myself on creating a compassionate and comfortable environment for children to flourish in. I have recently moved to Portsmouth with my partner and I am excited to explore the city and would ideally like to do this with a couple of little friends by my side! I love being outdoors and as an experienced gardener, I love to get my hands dirty and learn in the fresh air, no matter the weather. I have quite the creative streak so arts and crafts are always a win for me. My mantra is that learning needs to be fun, whether that be counting the puddles we jump into, exploring nature by going for bug hunts or writing/mark-making in mud, I am all for getting messy and having fun!
My Experience
I started my career in childcare about 8 years ago in a nursery where I was very fortunate to do my level two and three NVQs. I went from apprentice to Room Leader within a couple of years and my expertise was within the Preschool Room (although I have plenty of experience with all early years). Unfortunately during Covid-19, I was made redundant but this gave me the opportunity to delve in nannying. I love the freedom of planning my own activities and letting the children within my care to have a real insight into the outside world. For the last two and a half years, I have nannied for two wonderful boys and although I was very happy with the family, I made the decision to move down to Portsmouth to be with my partner. Saying that, I am very excited to potentially meet some new friends along the way. I am looking forward to meeting you little ones.

9 GCSEs between A*s-C - including English, Maths and Science
CACHE Level 2 – Children and Young People’s Workforce
NCFE CACHE Level 3 – Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
