My Summary

My Experience

My love for children has led me to multiple different jobs caring for and educating young people.
For the past 5 years, I have worked at a riding stable where a large part of my role included being responsible for between 5 and 10 6-12-year-olds in both a teaching and general childcare capacity. This role helped me to develop my skills in dealing with a large number of children at one time, ensuring each child got the most out of their time with me.
For two years, I also volunteered at my local swim club teaching children how to swim competitively. As part of my role, I was put through both a lifeguarding course and a first aid course.
I have worked in the US as a camp counsellor and equestrian instructor, where for 7 weeks, alongside 3 co-counsellors, I was responsible for the care of 8 7-8 year olds 6 days a week, as well as teaching a further 8 8-15 year olds each day. This role helped me to gain a greater understanding of the importance of a day-to-day routine in a child's life as well as the organisational and time management skills required when responsible for a large number of children.
I have also held several babysitting roles, including the care of a 9-month-old child during afternoons and evenings and the care of 3 young boys pre-school, post-school and nights. These experiences have helped me to broaden my skills in caring for children of a range of ages and needs.

My Qualifications

Full British driving license
AED & First Aid, including infant and young child
EVOLVE online training, including infection control and food preparation

My Availability

Throughout the summer, from mid-June to mid-September, I am available full-time. This will reduce come mid-September when I return to my studies, however, I will remain available most evenings and some mornings/afternoons depending on my class schedule.
