My name is Becky Meek, I am 25 years of age. To put my life’s journey into perspective so far - I am a great lover of learning and have performed since a young age. I have always been very creative and am a graduate of Chichester Conservatoire where I obtained a first class honours in my acting degree.
Part of my love of acting is being fully open-minded and creative. I love this element of playfulness that children help unleash in you. Coming up with fun and imaginative activities we can do, or even just playing pretend to keep the children entertained is something I love and am more than happy to get fully stuck into.
My Experience
I am the oldest of three children… I have always been the person in charge and LOVE to plan and organise. It also means I have a great level of patience, but also an understanding of when I may need to get involved. I have a very large extensive family and with my younger sister having a 10-year age gap - I have grown up surrounded by and looking after children.
I have two cousins who are currently 6 and 9 years old who I care for often, sometimes for extensive periods of time, and have done ever since they were babies.
I first began babysitting when I was 16, looking after family, neighbours’ children, and friends of friends’ kids and never really stopped until I went to University.
I am currently a part-time Nanny and have two years of professional experience behind me. This is with two little girls, ages 6 and 9, and have cared for lots of other children in between. My experience is with a wide range of ages starting from 2 years old.
