About Me
Hi! My name is Charlie, and I'm a 19 year old media student at University of Chester. I'm looking to get into tutoring and childcare as working with children and young people is really important to me, and since working at a summer camp for international students, I strive to be able to teach and take care of more young minds! As a young person myself, I find it greatly important to relate to and connect with the children I teach, as well as demonstrating fantastic responsibility and proving myself to be a positive influence.
My Experience
I have a recent enhanced DBS check from the Summer of 2023, which I received in order to take on a sports, activity, and excursions instructor role with UKLC, a company that teaches English culture, language, arts and sports to international students aged 11-18. I spent all summer teaching drama and dance lessons, assisting the learning of English language, and being responsible for both small and large groups of students enjoyment and wellbeing over events and excursions.
My Qualifications
I have many education qualifications from GCSE's to an ongoing BA Hons degree, in subjects I'd feel very confident in teaching.
I achieved Grade 8s in English, History, RE, and Music at GCSE level. I'm especially proud of my Music qualification as it has allowed me to be able to read and understand music theory, and assisted my gaining of a Grade 8 in Singing, and also Grade 4 Saxophone.
I studied and gained 2 distinctions in a BTEC diploma of Musical theatre, meaning my knowledge in all dance, singing, acting, and drama is extensive.
I currently study Film and Media Studies at the University of Chester, in which I achieving consistent 2:1 grades in my coursework. I graduate in 2025.
