Hi, I’m Katie – a kind, patient, and empathetic tutor offering private 1:1 tuition for children aged 4–11 over the summer holidays within and around 6-7 miles of the Sunbury on Thames area.
With over 10 years of experience working in primary schools, I specialise in helping children overcome learning barriers, fill knowledge gaps, and rediscover the joy of learning. I offer personalised support in Maths and English, tailored to each child’s unique needs to build confidence, encourage progress, and nurture self-belief – especially for those who find certain areas challenging.

My Experience
I have worked as a teacher in primary schools for the past decade, across key stages and age ranges, including taking up positions of responsibility involving monitoring and raising standards across year groups. I took on the role of specialist reading teacher for a year and radically improved progress and attainment for children requiring support in this area. I am experienced in teaching children with SEND and able to support with a highly tailored specific teaching which helps to overcome barriers and boost confidence. I have tutored children previously and also have a specialism in reading and helping children overcome obstacles in this area.
My Qualifications
Degree in Primary Education with QTS.
TEFL qualification (200 hours)
Yoga Teacher (450+ hours)
My Availability
I am working freelance at the moment and have open availability. Please contact for more information on tuition or child care costs.
My Fees
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
I work on an hourly basis for tuition (£50 per hour) and I am also available for baby sitting in the evenings and charge £15 per hour.
