About Me
Hi, my name is Amber! I am 18 years old and on my gap year before starting university next September. I am a lover of animals (we have 5 horses and 7 dogs!) and everything creative, including reading, writing, drawing, painting, cooking, baking and adventuring. I drive but unfortunately don’t have my driving license yet due to the long waiting lists of practical tests but we are hoping to catch a cancellation so I can be available for more late notice shifts, soon. I am described as patient, loving, kind, hardworking and reliable by those around me and am more than happy to do chores around the home including cooking and cleaning, helping with homework etc, and I love finding lots of fun and different ways to entertain the mind, engage with the world and have lots of fun!
My Experience
I currently work at a lovely little Montessori nursery with children ranging from 6 months to 3 years old and I adore my job, however I’m having to look for work a bit closer to home due to personal circumstances and am considering part-time babysitting for the right family. Through my job I underwent a full DBS check and it presented my clean record, the paperwork clarifying this can be shown. I know the basics of first aid through my CD course and through my mother’s old files (she was a childminder for many years) however I am looking into undertaking a formal first aid training course.
My Qualifications
I studied Child Development as a GCSE and received a Distinction* (A*) alongside receiving high grades for all my core subjects in GCSE and A-Levels, making me a helpful addition even at homework time.
My Availability
My schedule is quite open, on weekends my availability varies due to me competing on my horse usually one day each weekend. I ideally would like part-time or ad-hoc work as I have other responsibilities, however I am very flexible and want to be as great a help as possible. Although I won’t be able to do overnights consistently (hence why I didn’t include them), I may be able to do them on occasion.
