My Summary

My Experience

I have over 6 years experience in the childcare sector from experience.

I have a degree in Education Studies and I’m training to be a primary school teacher.

I’ve previously worked for a fostering agency in East London for over 5 years providing support for looked after children in care with multiple needs, between the ages of 0-18. This involves ensuring foster carers are meeting their needs, obtaining their wishes and feelings, providing respite for carers by taking the children on days out to the cinema or activity centres and arranging agency activities.

During the summers of 2023 - 2026 I was a group leader for a summer camp in the USA where I had sole responsibility caring for 20 children between the ages of 2 to 5. This involved taking them around to activities, teaching them to swim, ensuring their needs were met, supporting them during change and supporting their development with their social and emotional skills.

I also have experience working in a nursery classroom setting with children aged between 3-4. This was during my health and social care course where I worked in a school. My role was to support the classroom teacher with meeting the children’s needs, preparing lessons and meal time, observing the children to ensure they’re safe and supporting with their development.

Throughout all these roles I believe I gained many skills to support in looking after children and young people.
