About Me
Hi, my name is Maria and I’m originally from Barcelona. I moved to Plymouth in November 2022 but have been in the UK since January 2020. I am a music, tap dance and self expression teacher and a musician myself. I am looking for some part time nanny job as I love spending time with children and be playful, creative and active with them. In Plymouth I have also been working as a TA in a school for a year, but with my business growing (with tap dance and self expression classes) I’m unable to dedicate full time. I also miss being more creative with children, which I hope to be with your child! I have plenty of nannying experience, both in Spain and Berlin where I lived for a couple of years. But even more, I have plenty of experience working with children as I have been a teacher (mainly music and creativity) for nearly 20 years! I would be very happy to spend fun time with your child and get creative together! Maybe even teach them some spanish :)
I am very devoted, hard worker and playful. I am very responsible and will make sure your child is always safe and active with different activities.
My Experience
As mentioned above, I have plenty of experience working with children of all ages in different environments and contexts. I have been a music language, piano, singing, self expression and language teacher for many years. As well as working for several companies as a teacher in Spain, as nanny in Spain and Berlin also, I started a creative english school in Barcelona with my partner. We sold the school with the intention of moving to the UK. In England I have delivered workshops in body percussion, dance and self expression in different youth centres and children with disabilities around the country when I was traveling. Presently I have been in Plymouth for 1 year and have been working full time and part time as a TA in KS1. At this moment I am unable to mantain the job as I can work only part time, and because I miss being more creative with the children.
My Qualifications
Leasure time leader (in spain).
I have my musical studies from back in Spain, in piano and musical language.
I have all my tap dance training and body percussion.
My Availability
As mentioned before, I also teach and have other commitments. I am looking for working between 2-3 days a week, I can be flexible on the weekends.
