About Me

Hello! I'm Dominique, a 43-year-old woman seeking babysitting, childminding, and tutoring work. My tutoring services include teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), as well as French, to both children and adults.

I love reading, swimming, drawing, and all things-food related, but most of all being outside in the sunshine.

I have over five years’ experience working in education and with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This includes over three years working in primary schools as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and SEN 1:1 support, fifteen months working in education at HMP Pentonville, and one year as a Humanities TA in a secondary school.

In addition, as part of my studies I taught EFL in order to obtain my CELTA qualification. More recently, as part of my Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) PGCE, I worked in two secondary schools (01/11/25–12/02/26), initially observing and assisting in KS3 and KS4 French lessons, and increasingly planning and teaching both whole-class and inclusion KS3 lessons.

I began a Secondary PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (French) at Goldsmiths, University of London in September 2025, but recently chose to interrupt the course for a year, meaning I am immediately available for full-time work.

I have an Enhanced DBS certificate and can provide references.

BA in Primary Education (UoG)

PGCert in Education (UCL)

CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) – an internationally recognised teacher-training qualification accredited by Cambridge Assessment English
