My name is Joanne. I am 37 years old and live in the Lower Darwen area. Mother to a 2 year old girl and 2 teenage boys!
My Experience
Aside from 15 years experience of parenting my own 3 children, I have worked in a number of settings with children and young people. I have worked as a self employed childminder, in a school with hearing impaired children and with Looked After children. Currently, I'm an Ofsted Registered Nanny based in Lower Darwen. Last year I worked with over 20 different local families providing regular and adhoc childcare for their children, 36 wonderful children in total! I feel very blessed to be able to offer the service that I do ?
The childcare I provide comes in particularly useful for those families that need childcare on different days and times due to shift work, families that need help with school runs and even just couples or single parents needing some 'me time' ?? I provide childcare for weddings and other social events and some short stay and play sessions at my own home for parents needing to attend appointments or just want a bit of time to get a job done. If you have a childcare need, then please just drop me a message and if I'm able to help, I will! ?
For families that are entitled to the Government's Tax Free childcare scheme or to Universal Credit you can claim help towards the cost of the childcare ?
You can have peace of mind that I am experienced, Childcare, Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid qualified, insured, DBS checked and regulated by Ofsted.

Joanne was absolutely amazing with my three children. Joanne helped me out last minute as I had a wedding to attend. She instantly put me at ease, she clearly has a lot of experience looking after children. The children had a great day and enjoyed spending time with her. Thank you Joanne !

We haven’t ever used a baby sitter before (our son is nearly 5). Our little boy has additional needs and I am a very overprotective mum, but I felt like a trusted Joanne as soon as we spoke. She came across like a very caring, professional person - which she was! 😊 she was great with our little boy and he was very happy and calm whilst with Joanne. She put us at ease and was really accommodating. Would definitely use Joanne’s services again to look after our little boy , has given me and my partner a chance to have some time together which we wouldn’t normally get. Highly recommend. Joeanne amazing great witg my 3 children with addtional needs . Done amazing job at home cleaning done amazing job . Commication is great and 100 percent reliable . My children get super exited when know they looking after by her i feel relaxed and happy knowing my children are safe . thank u . I strongley recommend Joeanne :)))
