My Experience

Alongside my university training, I work as a Teaching Assistant within SEN primary settings, where I support children with a range of additional needs including speech and language difficulties, ASD and learning delays. This has given me practical, hands-on experience adapting learning to individual needs and supporting children who require a more tailored, patient approach.

I regularly support children who are struggling with blending sounds, early reading fluency, spelling and speech sound production. I understand how speech and literacy are closely linked, and I design sessions that strengthen both areas in a structured and engaging way.

Working within schools has also given me insight into how the education system operates and the pressures children can face. I aim to provide focused, individualised support that complements school learning and builds confidence outside the classroom.

My Qualifications

I am currently studying Speech and Language Therapy at university, where I am developing in-depth knowledge of speech development, phonology, language acquisition and early literacy. My training equips me with evidence-informed approaches to supporting children’s communication and learning.

I am DBS checked, safeguarding trained and committed to maintaining a safe, professional and supportive learning environment for every child I work with.

My Availability

I am flexible, available all days after school and full time on the weekends
