About Me
Hi everyone! I’m Alice, I’m 21 from the West Midlands.
I offer babysitting services to families with children of all different ages and needs. This can include early mornings, school runs, evenings, days and everything in between!
I have an enhanced DBS and I am emergency first aid trained.
I have a clean driving licence/business insurance, so I’m happy to help with school runs or appointments and facilitate days out!
I’m familiar with tutoring children and young people through our current GCSE’s and SAT’s.
Whilst I’m working with your family my aim is to be as helpful as possible, so if that means helping with domestic tasks as well as childcare then I can help as little or as much as required. My Experience
I currently work in a residential children’s home and have done for the past two years.
My job role includes working as a ‘therapeutic parent’ for the children that live in our home. This means, having morning routines, doing the school runs, preparing meals, keeping up on domestic task and most importantly creating a safe environment and having lots of fun!
I have experience working with children with neurodivergence such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Oppositional Defiance Disorders as well as other mental health needs.
I also have experience looking after babies, from newborn to toddler.
I’m familiar with diabetic daily care and have looked after children with Type 1 diabetes.
If your child/children have a specific need I will make it a priority to be as informed as possible!
My Qualifications
I have a Level 4 Diploma in childcare as well as different certificates which I have had to acquire within my job role, including but not limited to:
- Emergency first aid
- Allergen awareness
- Food hygiene
- Therapeutic parenting
- Safeguarding children and young people
I’m currently working towards a degree in Psychology and Child development
I also have a BTech in health and social care at GCSE level as well as the other standard GCSE’s.
I studied Psychology, Biology and Sociology at A-Level, due to this I mostly have experience tutoring the sciences, as well as maths and English.
My Availability
I currently work a 2on4off shift pattern, meaning I’m at work for two days and two nights and off for four.
This is a rolling shift pattern so the days alternate each week.
Meaning I will be available all week and weekend, apart from the two days together I am at work
I’m happy to work on a pre planned basis but will always do my best to help out in emergencies.
