About Me
Hi, I'm Boma! I'm an experienced Educational & Wellbeing Practitioner who loves helping children learn, grow in confidence and enjoy their holidays. I combine high-quality childcare with tutoring, creative activities, outdoor adventures and confidence-building to create fun, engaging days tailored to each child.
Whether your child enjoys arts and crafts, reading, baking, nature walks, educational games or simply having someone kind and encouraging to spend time with, I aim to create a positive and enriching experience while giving parents peace of mind.
I have experience supporting children with a wide range of personalities, abilities and educational needs, but I'm equally happy working with children who simply need an engaging companion during the school holidays.
Please note: Most of my work has come through independent referrals and educational organisations, so I don't yet have reviews on Childcare.co.uk. I'm very happy to share testimonials and references from previous families and education professionals on request.
My Experience
I have several years' experience working one-to-one with children and young people across schools, alternative provision, home-based education and wellbeing settings.
I've supported children across primary and secondary ages with learning, confidence, emotional wellbeing and engagement. My experience includes tutoring, mentoring, educational support and designing personalised activities to suit each child's interests and needs.
I enjoy building positive relationships with young people and creating a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable to learn, explore and have fun.
My Qualifications
I hold a BA (Hons) in English Literature and an MA in Medical Anthropology, with a particular focus on mental health and wellbeing. I also hold a professional coaching qualification, which has strengthened my communication, confidence-building and relationship skills.
I have several years' experience supporting children and young people through tutoring, mentoring and personalised educational support. I have worked with children across a wide range of ages, abilities and educational needs, including those with SEND, anxiety and low confidence, as well as children who simply benefit from engaging, tailored support.
I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and always aim to provide a safe, positive and encouraging environment where children can learn, have fun and develop confidence.
My Availability
I have flexible availability throughout the summer holidays, including weekdays, evenings and some weekends. I am happy to accommodate regular, occasional or last-minute bookings where possible. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss your family's needs.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £30.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £40.00 per hour
I am available for hourly, half-day and full-day holiday bookings. Fees may vary depending on the length of the booking, number of children, travel requirements and the level of educational support required. Please get in touch to discuss your family's needs.
