My Experience

I am a passionate and enthusiastic health and social care worker with special interest in supporting vulnerable adults and children. My hope is to be able to utilise my knowledge, skills and experience to influence patients’ health outcomes to contribute to a more positive life experience for them. I believe that personal and professional qualities such as empathy, compassion and generosity are the base of a caring and dedicated health care worker and my professional values are an extension and a reflection of who I am as a person, my beliefs, principles and moral values.
I believe that I have the required skills and emotional awareness to support those at disadvantaged positions in society. I have experience in supporting highly vulnerable individuals from learning disabilities to adults with drug addictions, I supported children in the education system in Spain and their families (this includes children with special needs) and I am also experienced at supporting care coordinators in care provision for people living with HIV. I have also been a volunteer at food banks and an ambassador to raise cultural awareness within my locality supporting African American groups in my area. I have worked in various settings related to social work, from school to community services, via children centres and supported accommodations.
