Absolutely outstanding - recommend in a heartbeat!

We felt incredibly lucky to find such an exceptional childminder. Our daughter started with Gemma at 1 years of age and stayed with her untill she started preschool. Gemma is kind, patient, and deeply attentive to each child’s individual needs, creating a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and understood. The children also build wonderful friendships while being in her setting and our daughter has kept these friendships since leaving.

Communication is excellent — we received daily updates and photos, which was always so reassuring and allowed us to feel truly involved in our child’s day. Her photos were so beautiful, we even blew some up and framed them! She plans thoughtful activities and takes the children on outdoor adventures, encouraging them to explore, learn about nature, and build confidence through hands-on experiences. Our child developed a real love for the outdoors and learned so much through these experiences with Gemma. She would teach them about different types of wildlife, insects, animals looking at different types of trees, leaves, and what grows on them, and would then read stories to support this. My daughter loved all the activities Gemma did, indoors and outdoors, she always talked about them on the way home and what a lovely day she had. Seeing my daughter excited for her day with Gemma and coming home smiling just reiterated I had made the right decision choosing her.

Safety is always her highest priority, and this gave me complete peace of mind as a parent. We saw our child grow in confidence, independence, and happiness while being in her care. Leaving your child with someone else is never easy, but i trusted Gemma completely very quickly. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for nurturing, reliable, and truly outstanding childminder.
